How to setup a Windows 11 VPN that connects when you log in


To set up a VPN connection in Windows 11 that automatically connects when you log in, you can follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Start button and select Settings (gear icon).
  2. Select Network & Internet from the list of settings.
  3. In the Network & Internet settings, click on VPN from the left-hand side menu.
  4. Click on the Add a VPN connection button under the VPN section.
  5. In the Add a VPN Connection window, you’ll need to fill out the necessary information for your VPN provider, including the VPN provider’s name, server address, and VPN type.
  6. After you have entered the necessary information, scroll down to the bottom of the window and check the option to “Remember my sign-in info.”
  7. Once you have filled out all the necessary information, click on the Save button to create your VPN connection.
  8. To set up your VPN connection to automatically connect when you log in to your computer, go back to the Network & Internet settings and click on the Change adapter options button under the Related settings section.

  9. Right-click on your newly created VPN connection and select Properties.
  10. In the Properties window, click on the Options tab and check the box next to “Remember my credentials.”
  11. Under the “Redialing options” section, check the box next to “Connect automatically when this network is in range.”
  12. Click OK to save the changes and close the Properties window.

Now, when you log in to your computer, your VPN connection should automatically connect.
